Aguas frescas are a perfect healthy substitute for sugary fruit juices and soft drinks.

During class, Lola taught us how to incorporate healthy ingredients like chia seeds, agave, and kale to make tasty, refreshing, and beautiful looking beverages.
She even taught us how to make our very own oat milk or agua de avena at home. This was fascinating because, as many of you know, oat milk is trending right now, but it has actually been made in Mexico for years.

Ingredients
- 8 cups of watermelon (from about 1/2 watermelon)
- 15-20 key limes
- 1 cup old-fashioned oats
Sweetener of Choice
- Pure cane sugar
- Dates, pitted
- Agave
- Honey
Optional Ingredients
- Chile-lime salt
- Fresh mint or basil
- Cinnamon sticks or ground cinnamon
- Mexican vanilla extract
- Chia seeds
