This mojito a la Oaxaqueña expresses great respect for the lands of Oaxaca and the wealth of flavors that it offers us.
Mojitos are typically characterized by a remarkable freshness and an eminent sweetness provided by rum.
In this cocktail recipe, we switched things up by using espadín mezcal to create smokey, earthy, and mineral flavors.
The basil provides an herbal freshness, while the pithione syrup gives it a spicy and aromatic taste that pays tribute to the diverse culinary traditions found in Oaxaca.
In general, it is a fresh cocktail with acidic notes reminiscent of earth, and it invades the body with every single sip.
