CHILES RELLENOS CLASS

During this 2-hour virtual cooking class, Nicole will teach us how to make traditional chiles rellenos from scratch. Get ready to learn how to char the chiles, peel the skin, sweat them, and fry them in a beautiful meringue batter. At the end of this class, your mouth will be bursting with flavor!

ABOUT THE CAJETA PUMPKIN FLAN CLASS:

During this virtual cooking class, Nicole will teach us how to make flan with a twist! Just in time for Thanksgiving season, this seasonal flan––topped with cajeta and a gingerbread crust––is bound to "WOW" your loved ones. If you've ever been worried about making flan at home, now is your chance to learn the proper way to do it.

During this virtual cooking class, Nicole will teach us how to make traditional buñuelos just in time for the holiday season! Like Nicole says, "Christmas wouldn't be the same without buñuelos." In this class, she'll teach you her secrets to making these delicious Mexican fritters.

Who is the instructor?

Nicole Presley is a Latina culinary enthusiast with 35 years of cooking experience. She is a recipe developer, video content creator, and food stylist. Her childhood and life experiences drive her to create for Presley’s Pantry - a platform where she celebrates family, food, and develops original recipes from her East L.A.kitchen. 

She has won every cooking and baking competition she has ever entered. Nicole's Chipotle Macaroni Salad was packaged and sold in all Fresh and Easy Markets which was a huge honor to her innovative palate and a result of a competition she joined. She has a natural gift of combining flavors and enjoys spending her time in the kitchen cooking and baking.

Who is the host? 

Luisa Navarro is the founder, creator, and curator of Mexico In My Pocket. A Mexican-American journalist, former national news producer, and graduate of Boston College and Columbia University School of Journalism, she founded Mexico In My Pocket in 2015 as a way to shed light on the beauty and traditions of Mexican culture. Her website Mexico In My Pocket is dedicated to her grandmothers, Tita Susana and Tita Lupita, who taught her to be proud of her heritage and to always remember where her ancestors came from.

What is the format of the class? What do I need to have ready in advance?

This class will be taught virtually via Zoom. Nicole will lead us through each recipe step-by-step from her home kitchen in East Los Angeles, while Luisa will host class and cook along with everyone from her home kitchen in Brooklyn, New York.

Please Note: Some recipes may require advance prep. If a recipe does require advance prep, we will email you the details a few days prior to class so that you can have everything ready to go on the day of class.

Oh no, I can't join at the exact time and date! Will you be recording the class?

Yes, we'll be recording each virtual class and send the recording via email to everyone who signed up. You don't have to be present the day of, you can always watch the video recording at your own time and leisure.
