HOW TO MAKE BURRITO SARAPE ORNAMENTS:

ABOUT THE DECORATING CLASS:

In this 1-hour class, Ashlee will teach you everything you need to know about how to make custom burrito ornaments using sarape.

WHAT YOU'LL RECEIVE:

DIY OTOMI-INSPIRED GIFT WRAP + BLOOD ORANGE MARGARITAS

WHEN:  Saturday, December 12th at 3 PM PST, 4 PM MST, 5 PM CT,  6 PM EST.

ABOUT THE DIY OTOMI-INSPIRED GIFT WRAP & BLOOD ORANGE MARGARITAS CLASS:

Join us for a night of fun as Ashlee teaches us how to stencil and create our very own Otomi-inspired gift wrap!

We will be making festive holiday gift wrap just in time to gift your friends and family for the holidays.

In this 1 hour and 30 minute class, you will learn how to:

  • Create a stencil and ideas on how to use it on different mediums
  • Make pom poms and tassels for a holiday garland or gift wrap accent
  • Make an apple blood orange margarita + dry orange slices for garnish

DIY PIÑATAS & PALOMAS

Join us for a fun afternoon as Ashlee teaches us how to create our own mini piñatas!

We will be making the traditional style star piñata just in time to fill it with the perfect goodies so you can gift it to someone for the holidays.

In this 2-hour class, you will learn how to:

  • DIY traditional piñata with easy to find craft materials.

ABOUT THE FESTIVE HOLIDAY FLOWER CROWNS AND HIBISCUS MARGARITAS CLASS:

This quick and easy DIY is a perfect way to dress up for a fiesta or channel your inner Frida!

In this 1-hour class, you will learn how to:

  • Make a traditional flower crown
  • Add a “halo” to give your crown a special twist
  • Create a Frida-inspired margarita

Who is the instructor?

Ashlee Moreno is an event coordinator for an award winning company based out of Los Angeles, CA. She has coordinated and designed 200+ events, ranging from backyard gatherings and 400 person weddings to sporting events with over 5,000 attendees. She loves creating spaces that are a combination of tradition, romance, and whimsy with a creative twist. 

She is a self-proclaimed Pinterest guru, professional DIYer and cocktail aficionado all of which led her to create her personal blog, Bourbon and Rose. That’s where she showcases her love of dinner parties, bringing people together and fun DIY’s.

Who is the host? 

Luisa Navarro is the founder, creator, and curator of Mexico In My Pocket. A Mexican-American journalist, former national news producer, and graduate of Boston College and Columbia University School of Journalism, she founded Mexico In My Pocket in 2015 as a way to shed light on the beauty and traditions of Mexican culture. Her website Mexico In My Pocket is dedicated to her grandmothers, Tita Susana and Tita Lupita, who taught her to be proud of her heritage and to always remember where her ancestors came from.

What is the format of the class? What do I need to have ready in advance?

This class will be taught virtually via Zoom. Ashlee will lead us through each DIY and cocktail recipe step-by-step from her home in Santa Monica, California, while Luisa will host class and DIY along with everyone from her home in Brooklyn, New York.

Please Note: Some DIYs may require advance prep. If a DIY does require advance prep, we will email you the details a few days prior to class so that you can have everything ready to go on the day of class.

Oh no, I can't join at the exact time and date! Will you be recording the class?

Yes, we'll be recording each virtual class and send the recording via email to everyone who signed up. You don't have to be present the day of, you can always watch the video recording at your own time and leisure.

I never received an email confirmation — what do I do?
