About the Artisans: These colorful decorative serving boards are hand painted by Antonio and Griselda, Mexican artisans, located in Valle de Bravo.

Dimensions:

  • Medium: 7.8 x 14.1 inches

Details:

Each board is made from Tzalam, which is also referred to as Carribbean walnut wood.

Food Safe. Coated with non-toxic paint and varnish which is made without potentially toxic materials.

Use Instructions: We recommend using these boards to create charcuterie and bruschetta boards or cheese plates. They can technically be used as cutting boards, however, please be aware that if you choose to use them this way you do risk damaging the paint if you use them this way.

Care Instructions: Please wash each board prior to first use. You can use soap and water, making sure to be very delicate around the painted area. You can also use olive oil 1 -2 times a year to help keep the wood hydrated.

About the Artisans: Antonio and Griselda are artisans and parents to three adorable childrenValeria (9), Sebastián (5), and Daniel "a beautiful angel" (2).

Daniel was born on June 23, 2019 without complications, but eventually he was diagnosed a very serious condition called "annular pancreas." At 11 days old, he underwent emergency surgery, was hospitalized for 15 days, and was diagnosed with Down syndrome.

Although the surgery went smoothly, the circumstances remain "complicated" for the family due to the pile up of hospital bills and other factors like needing to make time to educate their children during the pandemic.

Although it has been difficult to manage everything they do it "with all their love" and are committed to "pushing forward."
