Created by Oaxacan artisans in San Marcos Tlapazola, these mini clay marranitos brings the beauty of Mexican culture into any space.
About the Artisans:
The women of San Marcos Tlapazola are well-known for creating beautiful designs made from red clay. Twice a year, the women from this community venture off to the hills to extract rocks for their creations. The process involves using a rock on the floor as a base and the delicacy of the artisan's hands to carefully mold each design. The final details are added using piece of maiz and jícara. Lastly, the products are taken to a wood oven where they are baked for 8 hours.
Please Note: Each marranito is handmade so sizes and colors can slightly vary.
