Lovely cobblestone streets flanked by colorful buildings: San Miguel de Allende is a little gem from Mexico’s colonial era. As you stroll around the little lanes of this impressively well preserved city, you will feel like you have traveled back in time!

One of the best ways to enjoy the beauty of this “open-air museum” is to have lunch at the terrace of the Rosewood hotel. The Luna, a tapas bar, offers an amazing view of the colorful city.

Around 2 or 3pm, when all you want to do is to escape the strong Mexican sun, head towards the beautiful Rosewood rooftop bar for a late lunch. Spend an hour or two there, comfortably seated in this beautifully decorated setting.

Relaxing music, cozy couches, and lovely décor: everything was well thought out to make you enjoy your time at Luna!

Whether you are looking for a typical Mexican dish or for something more international, you will not be disappointed! The menu offers a great variety of amazing dishes and cocktails.

We started with a delicious “ceviche.” We also got tempted by the cheeseburger which was delicious! It came with amazing French fries and a selection of different sauces. We would totally recommend it if you love burgers like we do.

As you begin to relax within this gorgeous environment, you might wonder why a black pouch was placed on your table. Open it and you will find a pair of binoculars! Because let’s be honest, the top reason to go to the Luna rooftop bar is the view. As the hotel is located a few streets away from the center, it is a great lookout point. From up there you will realize how colorful the city is! You will love looking at the colorful buildings, the Parroquia church, bell towers and rooftops across town.

A cozy atmosphere, delicious cocktails, food, and a breathtaking view: this is everything the Rosewood terrace has to offer - so make sure you try it when you next visit San Miguel!
